Spring Reading Thing: 2nd book down

Well, not by plan, but I read another book off my list on Saturday. Yes, the entire book. No, not by plan, but because we were stuck in the hospital's ER for six hours while my husband had some tests done. It's nothing serious, and he's fine, but we mostly had to sit around and wait for hours on end. Luckily, on the way out the door I thought to grab a book, and "The Notebook" was handy. I read all but the last four pages at the hospital. I can't say that I was terribly impressed... I knew after the first few chapters more or less how it was going to turn out, and it basically struck me as a typical romance novel. I was a little bit disappointed after all the glowing reviews I'd heard of it, but, that's ok... it kept me occupied while DH was having his tests done.

  1. Aww, I hope your hubby feels okay..glad it was nothing serious!

Thanks for this review. I've heard so many different reviews, tons of people have told me that the movie is far better than the book though. I've been a little skeptical over the book after seeing the movie, I don't think I want to know that story any other way than what the movie portrays. I might just have to change it to The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks.

Thanks for letting me know your reviews are up & for posting them. Have a great week! =)

  2. I loved The Notebook. But I love sappy romances. However I have read all of Nicholas Spark's books and he is my FAVORITE author. :)

  3. Oh, I forgot! I was looking for your email address. I noted that you are mom to a preemie as am I. My 14 month old was born 3-1/2 months early. I was reading your post about feeding and I just had to smile. We went through the same thing. He is just now starting to eat good. So don't worry!
