Menu Plan, week of 2/20

My buttons aren't working for some reason- the correct links are at the bottom of this post!

Lent is always an interesting time for me to do a meal plan. The kids and I are Catholic, which means that my daughter and I won't be eating meat on Fridays. My son is too young to "have" to avoid meat yet, but usually he eats what DD and I eat.  My husband is not Catholic, and, he's always believed that it's not a real meal if there's no meat. I could easily wind up being a short-order cook if I'm not careful!   So... here's the plan for this week:

  1. Well, I just love your menu plans... mainly because they are so easy. Most items can be prepared in little time; also economical.

  3. I wanted to thank you for the Ash Wednesday links--they came up in my reader, though I don't see them here. They were a huge help to me in my admittedly belated planning!

  4. While my family does not abstain from meat for Lent, I do love to have at least one meatless meal a week. You have some great ideas here! Thanks for dropping by my blog today:)

  5. Thanks for linking up to the Lent Meal Plan link-up! That Broccoli Cheese Soup sounds YUMMY!! Your husband sounds like the girls I used to work with. They HATED LENT. They were all how can you NOT eat meat? It's just second nature when you were raised that way. And really people its 6 days a year I think we can survive! Anyway so I sympathize with you and your hubby :)

We must think a like I posted grilled cheese and tomato basil soup also :) yumm
