OK, it really doesn't get any easier than this! :) All it took for me to whip up this Mother's Day gift for my grandma was a trip to one of those big name discount stores-- it starts with a "W"-- and a few minutes on my computer.
I liked the end result so much that I whipped up this tutorial for you:
- Go online to their photo department, pick a layout, insert your photo and text, and have it printed in an hour for $1.98, 8x10" size. (Printing it myself would have been cheaper, of course, but this was their layout, so I didn't have that option.)
- Then, while you're there picking it up, grab a glass frame with silver corners for $2.33.
- Frame the print, wrap it in a bag, and present a gorgeous keepsake for a grand total of $4.31.
See? I told you it was simple! :)
That's a great idea. We made our Mother's Day cards this year too. I'll post what we did probably next weekend. I don't want to spoil the surprise for the mother's and mamaw's they're going to. We're late in mailing them, but they will get there.
