Should we remove God from our dollar bills?

Swiped this from Alyssa @ Keeping the Kingdom First: NBC is taking a poll on whether or not "In God We Trust" should be removed from our currency. You can vote on the poll HERE.

As for me... I voted that it should stay right where it is. Our country was founded with strong Christian roots, and at least one poll shows that 76.5% of our nation identifies themselves as Christian. If I lived in a country where the majority believed in something I didn't, I wouldn't be asking them to remove their statements... I'd simply "go with the flow". And besides, this doesn't specify a particular religion- it's only a vague statement about God, left open for the reader to interpret as he/she sees fit.

  1. Thanks for the heads up.

I just voted. Of course I vote to keep it in. It really irritates me how a few select attempt to remove God from so many things. Courtrooms, the Pledge, and now money?
    It's out of hand. :(

  3. I too voted to keep it. To me though it is mention of the One Christian God since our founding fathers were Christian, no matter how the liberals want to spin that idea. I think if it was vague then the G would be lowercase? Just thinking out loud :D It's a shame how things have gone down hill once prayer and God were removed from the public schools. I believe Christians are being persecuted and we are in the end days and this is only the begining. Unfortunately even if that many people say they are Christians, the numbers also show that more Christians are believing that there are more than one way to gain salvation that it isn't just through Jesus and that Christianity isn't the one true Faith. Shocking, yes, but this is what the mega churches are teaching now a days. Lord come quickly.
