WFMW: Family-sized calendar

The family calendar serves as our memory in this house... we scribble notes about everything from future doctor's appointments to when we've made bank deposits. The only trouble with making so many notes is that you soon run out of room on a typical sized calendar.

Last year I discovered Flylady's wall calendar, and it works perfectly for us. The squares are big enough for lots of notes and stickers, and the plain white sqares work well for my color-coded activity notes. Flylady offers stickers, too, if you choose to use them.

I'm ordering my 2008 calendar today... it definitely works for me! Check out more Works for Me Wednesday tips over at Rocks in my Dryer!

P.S. If you're not familiar with Flylady, I highly recommend the book Sink Reflections. It's one of the few books I own that I refuse to part with!

Note: I am in no way affiliated with Flylady or her website, I'm just a member and a big fan! :)

  1. I'm a flylady fan, too. It's OK to be a fan even if I don't "fly" nearly enough, right? Wish I could help you find your organizer...

  2. Ooh, we use it too! It's really been a godsend for us. Before this calendar, I couldn't even get my husband to write things down. (He was worried that his handwriting would cover up too much space).

  3. I had her calendar a couple of years ago, you are right - the squares are HUGE!! I loved it. Forgotten about it til now, I might go get one for next year over there.

  4. I'm a huge Fly Lady fan. I have blogged a lot about her over the past weeks, since I desperately want to get back to my old routines, which really worked for me.

I don't have a Fly Lady calendar. I've heard so much about them and how great they are, but since I live overseas the shipping would be too big so I can't really afford it. Right now I use the Google calendar and it's great too. I have different colors for different things, like my Fly calendar, my personal calendar, the kids' calendar, etc. It even has reminders. It works fine for me.
