New Year's Organizing (Tackle It Tuesday)

Amy created this herself over at imagechef.com Every year I get the organizing & decluttering bug about this time. It's time to put away all the Christmas clutter and get things back in shape. I'm always full of new projects and ideas for getting my life more organized, and this year is no exception.

This is what my kitchen table looked like Christmas week... full of craft supplies and wrapping paper. I got everything done, (including my Christmas cards and a very quick frap carton) but the mess on the table wasn't pretty!

So, my first project for the new year is to arrange a new crafting space for myself. Right now my craft supplies are scattered- some in the spare bedroom/storage room, some in this computer room, and some in a plastic drawer organizer by the kitchen table. No more! The toys that are here are being relocated to the kids' rooms and the basement playroom, and that should leave plenty of room for my craft table and cabinet to be moved into this room.

I wish I had the "after" pics to show you already, but, I'll have to wait until DH is available to help me with some heavy lifting before everything will be done.

What are you tackling today? Head on over to 5 Minutes for Mom for Tackle It Tuesday and share your project of the day... it's always more fun to tackle projects when you can blog about them and encourage each other!

  1. I wish I had a dedicated place for my craft supplies. It ends up being my dining room table!

I'm with you on the clean-up bug. I'm putting away Christmas stuff today too!

Yep, cleaning up and putting the C-Tree down or away is a popular tackle today.

    Happy New Year :)

  3. I get bit by that bug also. Hopefully I can make some real change in my household like you're talking about doing.

  4. It will be nice to have your craft stuff in one spot. I was looking at your kitchen table and I believe that is the same table I have for my craft table. :0)
