WFMW: craft supply organization

My tip today is something that I thought of a couple of months ago... one of those light bulb "duh" moments. I was working on making my Christmas cards, and I was upstairs getting more craft supplies out of our spare bedroom, aka: the dump-everything room. One of the the forlorn objects sitting in the room was an old silverware organizer-- one of the big, deep ones used for kitchen cooking utensils. It turns out that it's the perfect size to hold some of my stamping supplies.

For while I was using it just to hold materials for my current project, using it to transport them to the kitchen table & keep those particular supplies together. Now that I'm setting up a designated craft area, I'm using it on my craft table to hold all of my ink pads, adhesives, and other miscellaneous supplies.

It's simple, it didn't cost anything, and it definitely works for me! Head on over to Rocks In My Dryer for more great WFMW tips!

P.S. If you have craft supplies of your own to organize, I hope you'll join us over at Sunday Scrappin'-- my weekly meme for all kinds of paper crafts.

  1. That is a fabulous idea - I have another post on my blog using ice-cube trays to organise all my beads

    they work awesome.

P.s. use the search function right at the top "organising craft supplies" and it will pop up

  2. That's a really great idea! I bet anyone who doesn't already have an old one can find one super cheap at a local thrift shop. :)

  4. That's a great idea, it seems to fit all your ribbons and stuff in nicely. I'll have to find something similar for my craft room, or I'll never get anything new made for my etsy shop! Thanks for the good idea.
