Have you heard? I've started a separate blog,

Do you pump?

Tonight, we're headed to a meeting at the endocrinologist's office to learn about the various insulin pumps available and what all pump therapy will entail if we choose to go that route. I'm still on the fence, honestly, and so I'm very interested to go and see what they have to say.

Kerri at Six Until Me posted today about a little boy that looked just like the rest of them.... touching on one of our big concerns about DD wearing pump and it making her feel/ look different from her friends.

If you're a parent of a pumping child, I'd love to hear about your experience!

  1. We pump! And we had all the reservations you are having...plus many more. But the truth is, it changed our life for the better. I have 3 boys pumping. They are 6, 8, and 12...but they started on pumps at ages 5, 2 and 5. They are proud of their pumps and are loving the lenient eating schedule it affords them! Send me an email with any questions or concerns! I would love to help you out any way I can. :) We have used both Animas and Medronic. My email is rmmjbls(at)yahoo.com

  2. We started pumping in October with the OmniPod. I can't imagine going back to injections now.

    My daughter is 5.

Stop by my blog. I've written about our experience with it so far.

  3. I know I already left a comment on this post, but...

I just launched a new blog called D-Mom Blog, which I hope is a resource to other parents of diabetic children. I hope to develop relationships with more parents.

(I've included you in my blogroll already.)
