Booking Through Thursday



What books did you get for Christmas (or whichever holiday you may have celebrated last month)?  I got two books that I had been wanting: Going Rogue: An American Life by Sarah Palin, and,  A Simple Life by Wanda Brunstetter.  I'm about half-way through the Amish book- it's very light reading, broken up into short 1-3 page stories.   I can't wait to dig into Palin's book, but, I had some review books that I need to finish first in order to post reviews by the deadlines.


PaperBackSwap.com - Book Club to Swap, Trade & Exchange Books for Free.Do you usually ask for books on gift-giving occasions or do you prefer to buy them yourself?  I rarely buy any books for myself, but that's because I have a knee-deep stack next to my nightstand waiting to be read.  :)    (I do love to hang out in bookstores, but I try not to buy any when I have a stack at home waiting to be read.)   I get most of my books through PaperBackSwap.com (free), through the various companies that I review for (also free), and through the library.    I also keep a running wishlist on Amazon and I'm always thrilled when someone blesses me with a gift from that list.

    I keep a running wishlist on Amazon, too. I haven't read Wanda Brunstetter yet, but I want to.

    I love receiving books as gifts, although I rarely do :)
