Kreativ Blogger Award

Forgetfulone has awarded me this lovely award! :)

Rules:
Mention the blog that gave it to you and comment on their blog to let them know you have posted your award. Publish these rules.Share 6 values that are important to you and 6 things you do not support~ Grant the prize to 6 people.

I support:
  1. The right to life... for the unborn, for the elderly, and for the criminals. Basically, "thou shall not kill"... it's a no-brainer.
  2. The right to worship God in your own way, according to your own beliefs. You might not agree with mine, but as long as we can both respect the other, I'm fine with that.
  3. Funding for Juvenile Diabetes, Breast Cancer, and Alzheimer's research.
  4. The right of parents to make decisions regarding their children's education... public school, private school, or home school... that should be the parents' choice.
  5. The right to express your own views on anything without fear of incrimination. I love being able to talk and debate about issues... it's one of the great blessings we have in this country!

I do not support:

  1. Paying for brand-new public school buildings based on raising the taxes of homeowners. Many homeowners (such as myself) do not even use public schools. What about passing those bills on to the parents of children who actually attend those schools?
  2. Abortion, no matter what the reason. I very literally almost died with both of my children, so please don't try the "risk of the mother's life" argument unless you want an earful!
  3. Giving hand-outs to people who are making no effort to take care of themselves. If someone is struggling to make it and needs help, I absolutely support giving them whatever help we can. If someone is too lazy to get a job and knows the tricks to milk to system, I'm sorry, but I have no sympathy for them.... they'll get my prayers, but nothing financial or physical from me. (And, yes, I'm referring to someone specific in my life.)
  4. Negative campaign ads. Ugh.
  5. Illegal aliens in our country who receive healthcare and other "rights". I'm all for anyone who wants to live here... just please do it legally, and don't expect my tax dollars to pay your way.
  6. Leaving our oil reserves untapped. If you read up on it, drilling in Alaska will NOT kill off wildlife. Let's start using what we've got, and decrease our dependence on other countries.

OK, my turn to pass this on... I know so many creative bloggers!

  9. Hey, Amy! Thanks for thinking of me. I hope all is well with you and that' y'all made it through Halloween.

It sounds like we share even more in common than being preemie moms and working in long-term care!

    Catch you later!
