360-degree Life by Billy Joe Daugherty
FROM THE PUBLISHER: explores how ordinary people, caught in the midst of difficult, dark, and seemingly impossible situations experience life-altering events as a result of simple faith. As you learn to see yourself as God sees you--as His child, loved by Him and deserving of the great plan He has for your life, you can finally break free from fear, doubt, rejection, and other roadblocks.
While this was a pleasant read, it wasn't anything that really stood out to me. It seemed to me to be a cheerleader style book, complete with lots! of! explanation points!! While the overall message was good, I found myself annoyed with the chirpy-happy tone of the book.
Daugherty sprinkles his writings with Scripture references and many short stories of real life people who have experienced God's power in their lives. For me, those were the best parts of the book-- it's always inspiring to hear the real-life stories rather than just theories.
